Tips and Tricks for Xbox Games: Tales of Vesperia
With any video game, there are things that you can do to help improve the way you play the game. That’s even the case with role playing games like Tales of Vesperia. If you know these tricks ahead of time, you’ll be able to get the most out of the game as you play it. Follow these tricks in order to have the most fun playing Tales of Vesperia for the Xbox 360.
Work on Gaining Weapon Skills
Early on in the game, you learn that if you equip new weapons, you can permanently learn the skills attached to them. Since these skills can be really valuable throughout the game, it’s good to learn as many as you can.
The best way to get many weapon skills is to create weapons through item synthesis. This can be done at any of the shops throughout the game. Use old weapons to create new, better ones. Once you have a stock of weapons, start learning the skills.
Characters learn weapon skills by fighting in battles. Even if you don’t have a character in your battle party, but they’re still in reserve, they’re weapon skills will level up. To make things go a little faster, I suggest spending some time fighting battles for this exact purpose. Not only will you get those skills, but you’ll also level up your characters quite a bit in the process.
Keep Revisiting Old Towns and Dungeons
Just because you don’t have anything to do in an old town doesn’t mean you shouldn’t visit it. Try to come by multiple times throughout your play-through. You’ll find all sorts of new and secret side quests this way. Talk to everyone in town and a cut scene will likely come out of it. You’ll get new items, titles and skits this way. You’ll also learn more about your characters.
You should also revisit old dungeons. Side quests can happen this way, just like in towns. Also, when you level up your sorcerer’s ring, you will be able to get to areas that were once inaccessible. New items for everyone!
Participate in the Battle Arena
The battle arena in Nordopolica is a great way to blow off some steam. You’ll have access to this around the middle of the game. You’ll notice in your menu that you can compare your fastest time in the 30 enemy battle with other players all over the world. This is a good way to see if you are doing well, or are in the bottom of the barrel.
You can also gain a good amount of money and items by beating the battle arena. If you’re hell-bent on completing your monster book, you’ll also need to use a magic lens on some of the battle arena monsters in order to do so.
